The Concept
Jane's Tears is a Dark Psychological Horror Feature Film following the lives of college friends in the wake of a shared tragedy that comes back to haunt them.
What We Did
The film had three main looks, the psychological horror aesthetic, the reality aesthetic, and the gore aesthetic. To establish the films visual language, the client wanted to pink highlights and blue shadows for the horror sections. While for the "reality" sections they wanted to make it cool blue tones. The "gore" section was a little mix between both the blues and the pinks.
Jane's Tears also had some elements of water and out of focus dream like shots. I tried to integrate that into the titles of the pitch with a melted liquid font style.
The Response
They loved the new look and feel of the pitch and also got high praise form the people they showed it to.
